The very first Trident Fantail in use
One of the very first Defiant MPS products from way back in the 90's - a HD Trident, they were literally built like a tank from 316 Stainless Steel. this one is still in use to this day, and looks exactly as it did when built.
Everything is assembled using the very best known reliable methods (Not the quickest) everything is built to last a long, long time.
"Why are the Tridents named after Cats?" Is a question I often get asked. They actually are not, they are actually named after German Panzers (Types of Tanks used in WWII) After many customers who know their stuff would come out with the statement "Hell It's built like a Tank!" as it should be!

The creation of MPS was never ever planned, it literally just happened way back in the mid 90's when I personally got so fed up with the gear I was using falling to bits, snapping, corroding, oxidizing and the so called "protective coating" just wearing off or even flaking off, just about everything available at the time was
It's 2026 and the Defiant MPS metal ware range is vast, with new and old designs = some dating back to the 90's like the Trident Panther & Trident Tiger , latest designs like the Tiger "Cub", Leopard 3 or Trident Fantail. There's something there for everyone's requirements- be it a Carp Angler on a big Pit, a Pike Angler on a huge windswept Reservoir, to a pleasure Angler who just wanders the Canals & Rivers with as minimal kit as possible etc.....
The Indicator Range is just the same - huge, with many options available to suit everyone's needs, all are fully interchangeable with each other via using exactly the same mountings.
